Will FusionBot successfully index my site since its navigation menu is built using Flash / Shockwave files?
Yes. FusionBot will follow links to pages that are embedded within MacroMedia Shockwave / Flash files.
Due to the potential for large Flash files in terms of bytes, the FusionBot crawler will limit the size of the Flash file it will download for parsing your links based on the following scale:
Package | Support | Max. Flash File Size |
FREE | Yes | 100K |
Bronze | Yes | 200K |
Silver | Yes | 400K |
Gold | Yes | 800K |
If your site uses Flash content and FusionBot has not successfully built an index, it is likely due to the package restrictions described above. To verify, login to your FusionBot account and view your 'Index Log Report'. If your Flash / Shockwave file(s) have a status of 'Exceeds Max. File Size', FusionBot was unable to download your file for parsing. Upgrading your account will allow for the parsing of larger files, or you may embed hidden links within your pages as a workaround.
