Can FusionBot automatically suggest search terms when visitors begin typing in my search box?
Starting with our Bronze level of service, FusionBot can provide to your visitors 'Search as you type' functionality.
Our search box autocomplete feature will automatically suggest keywords based on terms/phrases in your index, sorted by term length and popularity.
Search box autocomplete increases the productivity of your visitor's searches by ensuring that their search terms yield fruitful (successful) matches, based on the actual content of your pages, resulting in a more satisfying user experience. For eCommerce customers, this means increased potential for converting a visitor into a customer.
To see this feature in action, visit a few of the FusionBot customer sites below and begin typing in the search box:
Most importantly, FusionBot does NOT charge a penny extra for this feature!
To enable, select the 'search autocomplete' menu item via the 'customization' tab in your account. This will enable the auto-complete feature instantly within the search box on the FusionBot generated results page. You can also choose to insert the code provided on the 'search autocomplete' page in your account on the pages within your site that contain a search box, in order to enable this feature directly on your site's search box.
For eCommerce / product oriented sites, you can choose between the text based 'search as you type' functionality referenced above, or, you may choose to implement our 'Quick Search' feature for auto-displaying / previewing the top 5 (quantity is configurable) matching items for the keyword typed directly below the search box input area.
