Can I integrate Google Analytics on my FusionBot search results page?
Google Analytics is powered by a block of JavaScript code provided by Google for insertion on the pages within your domain you wish to allow
the Google Analytics to base its reporting / metrics upon. As such, there are two primary requirements to be able to utilize the Google Analytics
code for your FusionBot site search implementation:
- You MUST be able to insert (inject) the custom code provided by Google into your FusionBot hosted search results. This means access to our custom templates feature is required, which becomes available, by default, with our Silver package, or for an additional fee at the Bronze level of service.
- Your search results page MUST appear within the SAME domain as the rest of your site, thus requiring use of our 'Transparent DNS' feature, or implementation via our JavaScript Ajax libraries.
Once the above criteria have been met, you can then implement the Google provided script into your search results template to complement the site search analytics provided directly by FusionBot. For details on enabling analytics for your FusionBot site search, please visit the Google Analytics help page.
For the input field requesting to enter your 'Query Parameter', enter 'keys,k'. These are the two variables upon which FusionBot listens for incoming search terms.
