Can I implement FusionBot for my Intranet?
If the content you wish to make searchable is located within your Intranet, and this content is not accessible via the public Internet, the FusionBot crawler will be unable to gain access to your pages in order to create a searchable index.
To make your Intranet content searchable requires the installation of indexing software on a server within your network as opposed to utilizing the services of a remotely hosted crawling and indexing service such as FusionBot.
If however, your content is simply password protected, either via HTTP Basic Authentication or HTTP POST and/or GET form validation, FusionBot can be successfully configured to index your site. Click Here for more information regarding the indexing of password protected content.
