When I make changes to my content, how do I re-index my site?
If you have made changes to your site and would like your search index to be refreshed to reflect these recent changes, you have two options:
You can either wait for your next scheduled Auto-Refresh, where the FusionBot spider will automatically visit your site and refresh your index, or login to your account and request an immediate recrawl of your site. To view when your next scheduled Auto-Refresh is set to occur, please login to your account, and your last and next scheduled auto index dates will appear under the 'Account Info' tab.
Sites scheduled to have an auto-refresh will be added to the crawl queue starting at midnight US Central Standard Time. Crawling will then begin in order of package level priority. Auto-refreshes occur at this time in order to reduce the impact of our spider's crawl on your site's available bandwidth. If you wish to initiate recrawls of your site based on your own custom schedule, please reference the following FAQ.
In addition, to change your current Auto-Refresh rate, click the Spider tab, and under the Index Options section, click the Auto-Refresh Rate link. If your current Auto-Refresh rate is set to 'On Demand Only', the FusionBot spider will only revisit your site when a manual Index on Demand request is made (see below).
If you do not wish to wait for your next scheduled Auto-Refresh, you may login to your account, and in the left-hand navigation menu of the Member Center is a 'Request Spider' link. Clicking this link will immediately initiate a crawl of your site, and when completed, you will receive an email confirmation.
Please remember that you are limited to a specific number of 'Index on Demand' requests based on your package level.
To determine the number of 'Index on Demand' requests you have used and have remaining for the month, click on the 'Account Info' tab when logged into the Member Center.
